Oak Tree Café

INCOSE Oak SE CafeThe next Oak Café will be on 2 October 2024, at 8:00am GMT, where we will take a look at a Case study on the Global Positioning System. Remember to register with the button below for this and upcoming sessions.

Case study on the Global Positioning System

The Global Positioning System (GPS) was developed over a period spanning more than two decades. A System of Systems, it comprises three segments: a space segment (satellites in orbit around the earth), a user segment (where the navigation service is used in a multitude of different applications), and a control segment (satellite monitor and control). During this session we will consider the development of this system through a case study developed in 2007 by Patrick O'Brien and John Griffin.
