A better world through a systems approach.
The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) is a not-for-profit membership organization founded to develop and disseminate the transdisciplinary principles and practices that enable the realization of successful systems. INCOSE is designed to connect systems engineering professionals with educational, networking, and career-advancement opportunities in the interest of developing the global community of systems engineers and systems approaches to problems. We are also focused on producing state-of-the-art work products that support and enhance this discipline’s visibility in the world.

The International Council on Systems Engineering's Automotive Working Group (INCOSE's AWG) will be presenting a panel discussion at the Society of Automotive Engineers' World Congress Experience (SAE's WCX) on Wednesday, April 11th at 3:30pm in Detroit, Mi. As the vehicle transforms from being a collection of components within a transportation network, to being an integrated system within the larger transportation system, a different approach to the design process is necessary to ensure success at every stage of development – from the lowest level individual parts that make up the personality of the vehicle, to the communication systems that allow the outside world to influence its performance, to the intelligence that control its actions within the system. Utilizing a Systems Engineering approach allows designers and engineers at all levels in the process to properly influence and assess performance and safety within the vehicle and within the transportation system. Please join Bill Bolander of IBM, Chris Davey of Ford, Gary Rushton of General Motors, Mark Johnson of Johnson Controls, Jace Allen of dSpace, and Anne O’Neil, Systems Catalyst & Strategist as they share the value of applying a systems engineering approach. Impacts on automotive design, development, and validation, as well as supply chain interactions and the integration challenges of delivering mobility in an increasingly connected, and autonomous environment will be explored.
Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification formally recognizes your progress through your career as you develop and apply systems engineering knowledge and practices. INCOSE offer three levels of certification ASEP, CSEP and ESEP.
